Director Satoshi Kon, who excelled in PERFECT BLUE, directed his second feature film. While PERFECT BLUE was a psychological thriller where reality and delusion intersected, this film elevates the same framework in a more positive and poignant direction.
The story of an actress who was active before and after the war is interwoven with scenes from period dramas, monster movies, and science fiction films, creating a love story that transcends time and space, drawing the audience in. The comfortable feeling of intoxication! Even after the 90-minute screening, you'll wish you could have stayed in it a little longer.
