This very unusual cat statue from the 1970s is a trend of cat statues that were popular in the 70s they used ceramic and then used material that looks like patchwork quilt like the whole body is in patches very cool look the cat is very heavy and hand painted for his age in good condition a little wear on the end of one ear just a little fabric fray that could be easily fixed but he’s antique and I left it because it’s very minor his face is painted by hand the eyes whiskers and nose and mouth 14 and a half inches across and 8 Inches top to bottom he’s very large I saw one on Etsy smaller and not in this good of condition go for 346.00 these range from 40.00 to 400.00 ranging on size and age and how good the artist did this artist did great mixtures of colors with the patches it’s such a breathtaking piece like no other the bottom is red felt has a glaze as well on the ceramic
