Antique German horse.
~black nail head eyes

applied real rabbit fur mane/ tail
wooden hooves w black paint
wooden nose
~ Appears to be mohair over plaster of Paris paper mache. mohair is in good shape for the age but there are worn spots and loosening seams.
~ this is very primitive and is between 125 & 150 yrs old
~ horse is 10.5 from nose to tail and is 10.5 tall
~ please note that this primitive toy has damaged legs. each leg is loose and likely broken in the hip area under the mohair hide. the underside of one hip has a gap in the hide where you can start to see damage. the wooden nose is cracked. mohair is in extremely good condition considering the age.
~ it is likely that this once stood on a wooden platform w a pull cord. Antique 1880s +/- German pull toy
