I've had these vintage 1979 owls & butterflies crewel embroidery kits for photo frames for decades - I even bought very nice real wood matching frames for them...I thought I had never worked them but I just found a completed one (different butterfly design) with a matching frame...so clearly I worked one sometime in the past. This completed one is included along with the unused frames for the 2 unworked kits. Both kits are new in packages but the butterfly one has been opened although everything seems to be there.
