Ragon House Primitive Belsnickle Santa Claus & Chimney Box Shelf Sitter Display

1990s era Ragon House Belsnickle/Santa popping out of chimney box.  This is a beautiful primitive Santa with green clothing.  It displays wonderfully.  Made of a papier mache/plaster-type combination.  The lid is much heavier than the box base.  The "snow is accented with glass beads and the Santa has sparkly snow on his suit.  The piece was loved and taken care of though it does have a few cosmetic issues.  There is some chipping along the top edge of the box which is hidden when the lid is in place.  There are a couple of nicks on the base bottom corners as well as on the top of Santa's hat and on the backside of the lid rim.  These pieces are hand-sculpted and formed so there are variations.  On the back right corner of the lid where it fits over the chimney, there is a dip in the papier mache which was done during manufacture.  That being said, This piece looks really exceptional in person and it would make a great addition to your collection of Ragon House pieces.
