#1464, RIM BOWL, Vintage. Homer Laughlin Eggshell Nautilus, Aristocrat pattern Rim Bowl.
This Rim Bowl featuring the "Aristocrat," pattern, with floral garlands, of pink, orange roses and blue flowers, with scrolled swags in tan color design trimmed in gold around the edge and center of rim. Homer Laughlin produced of glaze that was used on certain patterns to make a thinner, stronger, dinnerware, more resistant to fine cracks or crazing called, “Eggshell”. The Aristocrat line is a fine example of the quality and durability of the Eggshell Glaze.
"Nautilus" indicates the shapes and lines in specific collections produced by Homer Laughlin.
Popular from 1937 thru mid 1950’s, the Eggshell Nautilus Aristocrat line is highly sought after by collectors everywhere.
