* The Bing & Grondahl Company was established in 1853 by Grondahl, who was a figurine maker for the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory, and the Bing brothers, who were art and book dealers.
* This darling white porcelain figurine of a nude child with an earache is one of four figures designed by Svend Lindhardt (1898-1989), noted sculptor bronze, ceramic and porcelain, who worked for Bing & Grondahl and at his own workshop. The figure portrays the child in a knelling position and holding his hands over both ears. The figurine measures 4 1/2" in height and is stamped in green with the three towers mark "B&G - Kjobenhaven - Denmark - 2209" and blue "B & G". Impressed "Sv. Lindhardt". This mark was used from 1962-1970. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. It will make you smile and remember your children when they were little or now your grandchildren.
