Petals of the flowers are actually indented into the porcelain for a very tactile experience. Thin blue line around very top of inside cup surface offer a pleasing visual.
Beautiful set of sake cups measuring 2 7/8" inches across at the lip and then gently sloping down to 1 3/8" at the base. The bud cup, as it is known, is made for drinking sake slowly and enjoying the aroma of the drink as you sip: it follows that you would want to choose a sake with a strong taste and aroma.
Excellent condition - no cracks, chips or crazing. Glaze does extend onto inside rim on one cup (see photo).
