Scoop the Pelican came out in McDonald’s Happy Meals in 1999 during the Teenie Beanie Babies promotion, which was super popular because the one in 1998 was such a big deal. Scoop had a big yellow beak and a soft white and gray body, and a lot of kids and collectors really wanted him. McDonald’s made the promotion bigger in 1999 since so many people were crazy about Beanie Babies. Even though Scoop isn’t worth a ton of money now, he’s still a fun piece of 90s history and reminds people of when Beanie Babies were everywhere. You should get him because he’s a cute little collectible that keeps the Beanie Baby craze alive.
