This is a pretty cool vintage wall plaque made in the USA in 1972, depicting the 1620 Mayflower Compact. Wooden frame with glass overlay. Under the glass the composition has a 3D effect with what looks like layered paper art. Please see photos as they are part of the description. One flaw I notice is that while the glass IS secure in the frame (as in, it can't fall out), it appears that at one time it had been glued at the corners so that it stuck to the frame. But the glue had at some point worn out so that all but the bottom right corner of the glass is no longer sticking to the frame. See the last 2 photos. So when you lay the plaque down, the glass falls back slightly, but when you hang it up, it's not really noticeable at all. Like I said, the glass will not fall out as it is bigger all around than the opening in the frame. Dimensions are about 11.75"W x 12.5"H x 2"D.
A very nice piece to add to your Americana collection, or a wonderful gift for the patriot in your life.
