This is a hand-stitched embroidery piece depicting the Forth Bridge hand stitched by my grandmother.
The artwork features a detailed rendition of the Forth Bridge, a well-known cantilever railway bridge in Scotland, as indicated by the text "FORTH BRIDGE" within the piece itself. My grandmother and her parents were from Scotland. This piece has been in a frame for quite some time. Once hung on her walls and then was passed down. It has been stored in my father’s shed for over 20 years now. The piece is in extremely good condition as far as the stitches are concerned. The fabric itself has minor residue stains from storage. However, as old as it is I am afraid to wash the piece with anything other than a mild detergent spray and vinegar. I have dabbed it dry. Some stains are still present. It has been removed from the frame and is being sold as is. I don’t know what true value would be to anyone other than maybe an inexpensive decor piece. Please send me ur offers I’m open to all!!!jus
