This is a beautiful and unique set of two vintage ceramic ashtrays, likely from the mid-century modern era. Crafted in Italy, these pieces feature a sleek, square design with a clean white glaze.
The most striking feature is the central medallion with concentric circles and a stylized flower or starburst design, which is finished in a metallic gold tone. The same gold tone is used to accent the two cigarette rests on one side of the square. The contrast between the white ceramic and the golden accents gives them a sophisticated, retro look.
The underside of the ashtrays is unglazed around the edges and shows a stamped or painted mark that includes the word "ITALY," confirming their origin. One piece also has a handwritten number, "2/48270."
These pieces are in good vintage condition. Please note the following signs of age and use, as shown in the photos:
