An extremely rare four-volume, bilingual (Danish/English) historical documentary of the Copenhagen Cabinet-makers’ Guild Exhibitions, covering the “golden age” of Danish modern from 1927 to 1966. Cataloged and written by Grete Jalk, a famous Danish designer, editor, and historian, this collection is widely treated by dealers, curators, and scholars as the primary reference on Danish/Mid-Century Modern (MCM) furniture of this era because it ties iconic designs to the exact year, stand, and cabinetmaker that presented them.
Each year’s show is documented with photos, drawings, dimensions, maker/designer credits, and short texts focusing on the pieces by Kaare Klint, Hans J. Wegner, Arne Jacobsen, Finn Juhl, and Børge Mogensen and many others in their original show contexts.
