Vintage Sascha Brastoff Pottery 6.25" Square Ashtray Dish Tray Trinket Mid Century Modern House Decor Shape D3

Sascha Brastoff, born Samuel Brostofsky in 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio, was a visionary mid-century artist whose vibrant ceramics epitomized Hollywood’s golden era glamour. Operating his celebrated Los Angeles studio from 1947 to 1963 with support from Winthrop Rockefeller, Brastoff crafted exquisite hand-painted porcelain dinnerware, vases, ashtrays, and figurines.

Among his most celebrated works, the "Rooftops" pattern, introduced in the 1950s, stands out for its whimsical yet refined mid-century modern aesthetic. This collectible design features stylized house silhouettes with angular rooftops set against mottled or ombre backgrounds in soft hues like grey, blue, green, or tan.
