Measuring 10"H with the handle up and 7"H with the handle down. The opening is 3.25" W. The base is 5.5" W. This is a Wedgwood Jasperware cylinder storage container. Jasperware is a type of unglazed stoneware developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770s, known for its matte "biscuit" finish. We know from the bottom marks that this container was made between 1898 and 1906. This barrel design features a classic dark blue and white color palette with intricate detailing, often depicting neoclassical scenes with figures and trees. It was traditionally used to store biscuits or cookies. Most people now use it as an ice bucket. This looks great in any room.
