Original Akai Roberts 770 Tube reel to reel with stereo tube preamps.
Has been safely stored for many years
These AKAI Roberts tube preamps are among the last hi end tube electronics from Japan,late 50s/early 60s
Very rare model with a military look to it
Runs off with a low voltage of only 100 volts
The item powers on perfectly fine
the switches work
the tubes glow up when turned on
but has not been tested further.
Which is the reason it’s being sold as is for parts/repair
This would be a wonderful project or to turn into a guitar preamp.

These Akai preamps are very powerful much better then fender ones.
preamps have three inputs #1,-"MIC IN", Hi Z This is excellent for DIRECT IN ,guitars bass mando etc.
