J. HERBIN FOUNTAIN PEN INK (30ml BOTTLE): This fountain pen ink is also known as 'La Perle Des Encres (The Pearl of Inks)'. It can be used in fountain pens and with dip pens. It's water-based and non-toxic. An odd little fact within this line is that the color Bleu Myosotis can be erased.
Each bottle of 30 ml/1 oz. is elegantly labeled and has a pen rest. They are known as 'D Bottle pen inks'. The 'D' refers to the old French unit of measure 'la Demi Courtine.'
J. Herbin is the oldest name in ink production in the world. By 1700, the company was producing 'l'Encre de la Tete Noire,' followed by the 'Perle des Encres' (The Pearl of Inks) and 'l'Encre des Vaisseaux' (The Ink of Ships).
J. Herbin uses all natural dyes in their fountain pen inks. This relatively 'natural' composition is reflected in the very neutral pH of the inks.
